Job description

Labor and Employment Associate - Junior to Mid-Level (Workplace Class Action Practice)

Duane Morris LLP is seeking a labor and employment associate to join its employment practice group in New York. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in employment-related litigation and transactional employment work. This experience includes handling discrimination cases, wage and hour class actions, and contract disputes in federal and state courts and/or before administrative agencies such as the Department of Labor and human rights agencies.

Transactional work includes providing advice and counseling, conducting wage and hour audits, researching and analyzing complex employment law issues, and preparing employment-related documents such as employment and severance agreements, workplace policies, employee handbooks, leave of absence forms, and employee communications. Experience in traditional labor law and conducting employment training is also preferred.

The candidate must be able to manage multiple assignments, be strategic and detail-oriented, demonstrate a high sense of urgency, and prioritize effectively. Superior academic credentials and New York Bar admission are required; NJ, PA, or CT bar admissions are a plus. Duane Morris is an Equal Opportunity Employer/AA/M/F/D/V. The target annual pay range for this role in New York City is $225,000-$295,000. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, market factors, and business needs. This range is part of the firm's total compensation package, which may include bonuses, incentives, and firm-sponsored benefits.
