Job summary

The Labor and Delivery travel nurse position in Oakland, CA with Advantis Medical is a 13-week Travel Labor and Delivery RN contract at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center. This role pays $3,243 per week and follows a Nights shift with a 3x12 schedule.

As the Labor and Delivery RN on this assignment, you'll assess maternal and fetal well-being, interpret fetal heart-rate patterns, guide patients through labor, birth and recovery, and respond to obstetric emergencies as they arise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Active California RN License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret maternal and fetal status, including electronic fetal monitoring, escalating concerns promptly.
• Support patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including oxytocin titration as ordered and per facility protocol.
• Provide immediate newborn care and support neonatal resuscitation per NRP guidelines.
