Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Full Time)

As a Labor and Delivery RN at Crozer Health, you will provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care by coordinating patient care and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families. You must respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Your day can vary from assessments of adolescents and adults during the intrapartum period, and their newborns; as well as high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients.

Responsibilities

1. Identifies stages of human growth and development and uses this information to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served.
2. Identifies the psychology of developmental stages and uses this information to provide age-appropriate care which fosters growth.
3. Recognizes and reports suspected cases of child/elder abuse in accordance with applicable statutes.
4. Identifies the physiology and pathophysiology of pregnancy, labor, and the puerperium.
5. Performs a comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum assessment.
6. Performs a newborn assessment.
7. Prepares the delivery room for cesarean delivery.

Requirements

1. PA RN License Required
2. 1 Year of clinical nursing experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing
3. L&D experience
4. Mandated and Permissive Reporter Training
