Prime Healthcare Services is seeking an OB Technician at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA. The role supports Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum with direct patient care under RN supervision, and handles clerical tasks including birth certificates processing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification due within 30 days and kept current.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, ROP, Paramedic Training Program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to neonates, children and adults under supervision.
• Communicates with physicians, patients and families; coordinates with hospital staff.
• Handles birth certificates and Declaration of Paternity forms processing.

The OB Technician performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to assist and support the organization and function of the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP).

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Works cooperatively with and under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides direct care to patient of various ages (neonate, adolescent, adult).
• Interacts with physicians, patients, families/significant others, hospital staff and community agencies in providing basic care.
• Is responsible for completion and processing of the birth certificates, and "Declaration of Paternity" forms.

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent 2. BLS Certification within 30 days and maintain current3. Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, ROP, Paramedic Training Program, Certified Surgical Scrub Technician or equivalent required. (State Specific)
