Job description

A law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment partner to join its Sacramento, California office. The ideal candidate will have significant experience handling all aspects of individual, class, and collective wage-and-hour actions. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney interested in furthering their career, developing business, and stepping into key client relationships, with potential for involvement in the firm’s succession plan.

Location:

Sacramento, California

Duties:
  1. Handle wage-and-hour actions, including individual, class, and collective actions.
  2. Manage client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
  3. Provide legal advice and strategic counsel on various labor and employment matters.
  4. Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
  5. Assist with business development initiatives and contribute to the firm's growth.
  6. Participate in the firm’s succession plan and take on leadership roles.
Requirements:
  1. Significant experience in labor and employment law, specifically with wage-and-hour matters.
  2. Ability to handle complex litigation and provide strategic counsel on employment issues.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
  4. Experience with business development and client relationship management.
  5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:
