Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a label technician to label containers for Sherwin products in Massillon, Ohio, in accordance with specified procedures and safety rules, including required PPE. The role requires attention to safety and adherence to plant standards. Shift: 3rd shift, 11:00pm–7:30am with a $0.40/hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, labelers.
• Experience monitoring the quality of raw materials or finished goods.

Responsibilities

• Adhere and understand to all safety rules.
• Setup and change over label machines to cover peak operation.
• Make minor repairs and notify supervision of major problems.
• Perform clean down procedures to labeling equipment.
• Label cans on labeler and/or by hand.
• Advise Supervisor or Quality Control of any problems with equipment or product not meeting specifications.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
• Count remaining inventory of packaging materials at the end of production run, prior to having them put in racks.

Job description

Label containers for Sherwin products in accordance with specified procedures & standards. These duties are to be performed in accordance with all safety rules, including the wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment, including flame retardant uniforms and steel toed, static dissipating shoes if working in the paint plant.

Schedule: 3rd Shift: Sunday night to Friday morning, 11:00pm to 7:30am

Shift Differential: $0.40/Per Hour

This position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one (1) year of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Have at least one (1) year of experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, labelers, etc.
• Have at least one (1) year of experience monitoring the quality of raw materials or finished good
