Job summary

Classic Salads is seeking a Label Operator to join the production team in Yuma, AZ. The role involves operating the label machine, box coder, and sonic welder to package products while adhering to strict food safety standards.

You will report safety issues and help maintain a clean, organized packing area in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be able to perform heavy manual labor, lift small to mid-weight boxes, and rotate through different packing line positions as needed.

Job description

Label Operator Worker is an employee in the production department. This role is member to our production team and is responsibleto perform manual heavy labor needed to process with the highest standards of food quality.The employee is required to operate the label machine, box coder, sonic welder.The employee is required to notify any issues regarding food safety and general safety awareness.Positions: Label Operator, Other positions as requiredl. Adhere to all Classic Salads Food Safety and GMP Policies, including Basic Policies (TRN-0101, TRN-102, TRN-103. TRN-104. TRN-105.TRN-1061.2. Complete Classic Salads Standard Production Procedures3. Use proper lifting and folding boxes techniques4. Report all deficiencies to management.5. Work overtime and weekends and holidays if necessary.6. Move product and/or materials manually as required7. Report all injuries and incidents big or small.8. Demostrate attention to detail9. Report any foreign objects while performing duties to immediate supervisor.10. Communicate with management and/or other employees11. Be concious to reduce material spoilage.12. Able to work in a cold wet environment 34-36 °F13. Work/cross train in other areas14. Fold boxes continously 1 lb to 3 lbs15. Lift bags continuosly 2 oz to 4 Lbs16. Stack and lift boxes continuously 3 Lbs to 4 Lbs 5-6 boxes high17. Keep work area clean18. Rotate through all positions in the packing line19. Lift finished product boxes continuosly 3 lbs to 15 lbs20. Stay in assigned work area21 Ability to operate a manual pallet jack22. Stack and Lift raw and finished product containers/boxes 10-50 lbs continuosly23. Team lift garbage cans 10-70 lbs ocasionally24. Lift empty pallets 45-85 Lbs continuously25. Sort and stack empty totes by color and size.26. Wrap and palletize finished product27. Mark cartons and label according to instructions28. Communicate with data entry employees and machine operators29. Follow directions regarding product mixes and recipes30. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, eye protection (goggles), faceshield, gloves, slip resistant shoes, wet/rain suit, apron etc.31. Be aware of sorroundings due to forklift traffic32. If employee is authorized to drive a forklift by management, employee has to be certified by Classic Salads33. With previous management authorization employee has to complete a daily forkilift inspection report34. With previous management authorization retreive product from raw room use FIFO (first in first out) to keep apropriate product rotation.35. With previous training employee is required to operate the box coder, label machine and sonic welder.High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience of work in a similar environment preferred. Able to work in a fast pace environment.Ability to work with fast changing priorities and keep up with workflow. Work in a team effort environment. Able to follow simple instructions.
