Job Description

The role involves performing operational functions of data manipulation on various types of label equipment within the department to meet production quality standards and deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

• Operate label machines properly and efficiently to meet production deadlines according to the daily schedule.
• Minimize waste or misuse of raw materials.
• Communicate label production issues with the Production Supervisor or Manager.
• Maintain a daily and weekly schedule of cleaning and maintenance for machines.
• Perform distribution functions as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels of raw materials within the production areas.
• Keep an accurate log of raw materials used, including date and ID number of cartons, to maintain FIFO inventory and identify quality issues.
• Use TCM system to log each job accurately, recording time and materials.
• Responsible for maintenance of all dies.
• Keep work areas safe, clean, and in good condition.
• Follow instructions from supervisors or management to complete tasks or projects within the timeframe.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, use PPE, and follow safety procedures.
• May work overtime or on another shift as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; or one year related experience/training; or equivalent.
• Experience with digital inkjet presses, mechanical and computer aptitude preferred.
• Experience in variable data printing and mailing services is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter, organized, with good communication skills.
• Experience with set up and operation of inserters and print bindery equipment is desirable.
