Job summary

Würth Elektronik Group seeks an energetic engineer to join the IC Support Team in Plano. You will run and document test sequences on evaluation boards, compare component performance, and modify boards as needed to facilitate comparative studies.

The role emphasizes electrical testing, data analysis, and accurate documentation. Relevant hands-on skills include multimeters, oscilloscopes, benchtop power supplies, and solder rework.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of multimeters, benchtop power supplies, oscilloscopes and thermal imagers.
• Spreadsheet analysis of test results.
• Solder rework of PCB assemblies.
• Written documentation skills.
• Experience with Python, LabVIEW and SCPI protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run tests to compare the technical performance of components for electronic applications, focusing on dc-dc power conversion.
• Prepare boards for the test sequence by visually confirming the assembly against schematics; perform modifications if necessary.
• Load and confirm test programs.
• Perform electrical tests per test documentation.
• Solder rework test boards to compare components.
• Provide feedback to improve test documentation and test programs.
• Perform graphical analysis of test results over varying conditions.
• Document test procedures, conditions, results, and component comparisons.
