Job summary

NCH Naples Laboratory is hiring a Lab Technologist I/II to evaluate clinical specimens using automated and manual methods, generating accurate results with minimal supervision. The role supports quality control and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure continuous laboratory services.

Qualified candidates hold Florida licensure in all five specialty areas and an associate or higher degree in Medical Technology or related field.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in Florida in all five specialty areas is required
• Minimum of Associate degree or higher education as required by state to qualify for licensure
• Internal applicants must be licensed as a technologist in Florida within 3 months of transfer
• Basic computer knowledge: operate a PC, create/save/print documents, input data

Responsibilities

• Evaluates clinical specimens following established protocols
• Maintains equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions
• Calls and documents critical values when applicable
• Runs quality control materials according to procedures and resolves discrepancies
• Calibrates instruments according to manufacturer recommendations
• Identifies patient specimens correctly
• Reviews and evaluates reports as requested
