Qualifications

• Doctoral, bachelor's, or master's degree in medical technology or a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science.
• 6 months of clinical lab experience or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with molecular biology techniques (qPCR, DNA extraction, DNA sequencing) and related calculations.
• Strong documentation and adherence to procedures, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Complying with the laboratory's policies and procedures.
• Operating high complexity testing.
• Participating in quality assurance and preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintaining a clean and organized laboratory space.
• Participating in proficiency testing and continuing education.
• Completing training and competency assessments timely.
• Following procedures when test systems are out of specification and documenting actions.
• Troubleshooting and initiating corrective actions to maintain test performance.
• Collaborating within the team to resolve problems or implement projects.
• Serving as a trainer on technical processes within the group.
