Job summary

InVia Fertility Specialists in Hoffman Estates, IL seeks a Laboratory Technician to join a state-of-the-art clinical lab team. You'll perform semen analysis, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure every result is accurate and quality-checked, with a hands-on approach from day one.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in a biological science, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform semen analysis and provide backup support for IUI sperm preparations.
• Maintain lab inventory and supplies for the Endocrinology and Andrology department.
• Conduct quality assurance tests and maintain accurate documentation to meet OSHA, CAP, AAB, and CLIA standards.
• Troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment, acting as liaison with vendors.
• Train lab personnel on OSHA regulations, equipment use, and procedures.
• Maintain cryopreservation records for sperm storage.

The Role

The Laboratory Technician plays a hands-on role in the clinical lab at one of Illinois' leading fertility practices, performing semen analysis, maintaining regulatory compliance, and helping ensure every result that leaves the lab is accurate, consistent, and quality-checked. We're looking for a detail-oriented team player who takes pride in the accuracy of their work.

What You'll Do

You'll be hands-on from day one, including:

• Perform semen analysis and provide backup support for IUI sperm preparations
• Maintain lab inventory and supplies for the Endocrinology and Andrology department

• Train lab personnel on OSHA regulations, equipment use, and procedures
• Maintain detailed cryopreservation records for sperm storage

What We're Looking For

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a biological science (Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field)
• Hands-on laboratory experience, comfortable working independently in a clinical lab setting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Clear communicator who works well as part of a close-knit clinical team
• Comfortable with a rotating weekend schedule shared among the lab team

What We Offer

• $24–$28/hr, commensurate with experience, plus medical, dental, and vision insurance

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with an every-other-Saturday rotation from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM and Sunday hours as needed based on patient load. Per diem candidates also considered. Based in Hoffman Estates, IL.
