Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, in Louisville, KY is seeking a Laboratory Engineering Technician to support regulatory and non-regulatory testing on Dryers and all-in-one units. You will collaborate with engineering to ensure standards are followed during test setup, execution and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience with Engineering Test Procedures (ETPs).
• Thorough understanding of standards (ETP, UL, AHAM, CFR, ANSI).
• Mid-level expertise in laboratory operations, including governance of test equipment, test software, calibration programs, and preventative maintenance for safe, compliant lab performance.

Responsibilities

• Review test plans to ensure appropriateness and modify test setups as required.
• Calibrate test environment and confirm test stability and validity.
• Ensure TRs contain required information and maintain test supplies.
• Perform quarterly inventory of test supplies for regulatory testing.
• Perform PM checks on test equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain list of calibrated equipment and prepare for calibration for DOE/UL testing.
• Move engineering samples between test area, preparation area, and storage while adhering to 5S and safety.
