Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking an Engineering Technician in Louisville, KY. You will conduct performance and energy testing on cooktops and ovens, collaborating with engineering to ensure standards are followed from setup to reporting.

The role requires 2 years in a lab testing environment, with attention to detail and clear communication. Domestic travel may be minimal and occasional weekend work could be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cooktop and Standby energy testing per CFR and IEC.
• Thorough understanding of standards (ETP, UL, AHAM, CFR, ANSI.)
• Ability to independently lead work with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment to set priorities, resolve issues, and drive results aligned with business objectives.
• Proven capability to manage multiple priorities through strong time management, organizational discipline, and attention to detail, ensuring commitments are met in a dynamic, schedule-driven environment.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for unit set up with lab testing fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Review test plans; modify test setups and calibrate the test environment.
• Interpret test standards to confirm setup and method for test stability and reporting.
• This role will also support ANSI testing in future.
• Move engineering samples between the test area, preparation area, and storage areas.
