Job summary

UL Solutions in Fremont, CA is seeking a hands-on test technician to support the SAR team on the day shift. This onsite role focuses on setting up and operating test equipment for client assessments and ensuring precise data collection.

You will read blueprints, follow test plans, and collaborate with engineers to optimize testing methods, contributing to safety and reliability across projects.

Qualifications

• Higher Secondary Education plus three years related experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Proven ability to be innovative and creative.
• Desire to work in a team-oriented environment. Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must. Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment and test setups for clients.
• Build/adapt test equipment for performance of tests.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to support tests.
• Follow defined test plans and datasheets.
• Record and report test results and prepare data sheets.
• Coordinate with engineers during testing and provide input on equipment needs.
• Maintain designated test equipment and laboratory area.
