Job summary

GeoWorld is seeking a Lab Technician/Scientist in Questa, NM to support senior chemists and scientists. You will conduct simple wet chemistry tests on environmental samples and perform solvent extractions on groundwater and soil, contributing to treatability studies and field sampling programs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, quality work, and growth within a large environmental science organization in a hands-on lab setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related field.
• Experience and aptitude for working in a lab environment through employment or school.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Good problem solving, analytical, and arithmetic skills.
• Positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and proven time management skills.
• Self-starter, flexible, team player, willing & able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision.
