Intertek in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Sample Processing Clerk / Lab Technician to support daily laboratory operations by receiving, logging, and processing environmental samples, maintaining LIMS records, and assisting with workflows.

The role requires strong attention to detail, solid computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9AM–5PM, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn lab software quickly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience entering and maintaining data in electronic systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Ability to plan, organize and complete projects within set standards and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Sample and quality control preparation for analysis.
• Receive and log environmental samples into LIMS.
• Maintain accurate electronic records for traceability and quality.
• Prepare, review, and issue reports.
• Enter, review and verify data in lab databases and MS Office.
• Greet clients and assist with sample submissions at the lab.
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email.
• Assist with inventory management and lab supplies.
• Support updates to lab procedures and work instructions.
