Job summary

Ravago Manufacturing Americas in Manchester, Tennessee, seeks a detail‑oriented pigment blends technician to weigh and prepare masterbatches in alignment with Quality, Laboratory, Environmental and Safety systems. You will support production by preparing blends on schedule, maintain pigment room cleanliness, and handle basic math and measurements using English and metric systems.

• Interact with management and production to prepare pigment blends in a timely fashion to support compounding production lines.
• Exhibit excellent attention to detail while weighing pigments.
• Read schedules and use them to prepare upcoming blends in queue.

• Work with Windows 7, MS Word, Label View and Excel.
• Use both English and Metric measurement systems.
• Perform basic math for proportions, percentages and calculations.
• Maintain and improve pigment room cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with inventory counts in pigment room when needed.
• Follow all Quality, Safety & Environmental Procedures.
• Uphold Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Color Manager.

Job description

Purpose

Weigh and maintain pigment blends/masterbatches for of all products produced at RMA Manchester in accordance with Quality, Laboratory, Environmental and Safety systems while providing excellent support to production.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

• Must be able to interact with management and production in order to prepare pigment blends in a timely fashion to support compounding production lines.

• Must be able to understand schedule and use it to prepare upcoming blends in queue.
• Must be able to read control plan and use it to prepare upcoming blends in queue.
• Required to work comfortably with Windows 7, and Office including MS Word, Label View and Excel.
• Required to work comfortably with both English and Metric systems.
• Required to know basic math to utilize and perform proportions, percentages, and calculations where applicable.
• Practical and analytical abilities while able to multi-task.
• Maintain/improve pigment room cleanliness and organization.
• Responsible for inventory counts in pigment room when needed.
• Follow all Quality, Safety & Environmental Procedures.
• Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
• Other duties as assigned by the Color Manager

Physical Requirements / Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to communicate verbally, read and comprehend information, and type when needed.
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
• Must be able to climb straight incline ladders.
• Must have use of fingers and hands for writing, handle and feel objects, tools or controls.
• Must have color vision.
• Repetitive motions with body, including reaching with hands & arms; walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching also could be necessary
