Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES in Visalia, CA is seeking a Lab Assistant Compositing to support daily lab operations through cleaning, sample handling, inventory management, and safety compliance. Hours are 6am–2:30pm, five days a week with weekends required in a 5-day rotation.

The role emphasizes following established procedures, maintaining a clean, safe workspace, and assisting senior staff with routine testing and data entry in LIMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required and ability to follow instructions.
• Analytical skills are essential to complete analyses and data entry into LIMS.
• Interpersonal skills are required to work in teams in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean laboratory by discarding waste and cleaning surfaces.
• Store chemicals, reagents, and supplies and maintain inventory.
• Prepare and use cleaning solutions per specifications; assist testing procedures as needed.
• Perform basic quality control checks and support other lab personnel.
• Keep LIMS knowledge updated and assist with audits and safety initiatives.
