Position: Lab Technician - Powder QC (Sun - Thurs, 11pm - 7:30am)

The Lab Technician performs standard test procedures on material samples to ensure quality and conformance to specifications. The successful candidates will have an acceptable score on the color matching and math tests.

Essential Duties include:

• Testing raw material and finished powder coating samples per established specifications, including processing of material and test panel preparation.
• Making pass/fail determinations based on specifications and product knowledge.
• Making adjustments to out-of-spec material.
• Applying knowledge of the production process and formulation technology to solve production-related problems.
• Developing understanding of how coating formulations and properties affect end-user application.
• Performing lab studies or services in support of projects under supervision.
• Producing neat and orderly documents such as product run logs, certificates of analysis, and recertification records.
• Preparing pre-ship and co-ship customer packages and expediting shipments.
• Operating all equipment and instruments safely.
• Maintaining cleanliness of laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Disposing of hazardous waste as per safety procedures, with initial and annual training provided.
