Job summary

NYCOA seeks bright, detail-oriented Lab Technicians for their team in Manchester, New Hampshire. Lab Technicians will follow all quality control procedures for inspecting incoming raw materials and testing of finished products.

The successful candidate will be familiar with laboratory work, comfortable with multitasking and have a solid understanding of the quality concepts. NYCOA offers a rotating schedule with 5 days off every other week, start wage $22.60/hr with training increases to

• A technical degree or previous laboratory experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Precision and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS office, E-mail)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to effectively interact and communicate with all departments and levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and mechanical testing of finished products supporting Operations and R&D activities.
• Responsible for logging data into the Quality system & releasing product.
• Record effluent readings and send daily emails to the City of Manchester.
• Collect samples for any non-standard quality testing (product hold, customer issues, etc.)
• Input quality data into the quality system and release incoming raw materials
• Support R&D activities on an as-needed basis.
• Perform some equipment calibrations.
• Maintain a safe, clean lab space.
• Other duties as required.

SCHEDULE:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

This position follows a rotating schedule, providing employees with 5 days off every other week:

• Week 1: Wednesday & Thursday (2 shifts / 24 regular hours)
• Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (5 shifts / 40 regular hours + 20 overtime hours)

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

• The starting wage is $22.60 per hour. Additional levels of lab technician training are available. Upon completion of additional trainings, wages increase to $24.33. There is a + $1.50 shift differential for night shift.
• This role is offering training and retention incentives:
• $500 bonus upon completion of first round of training
• $1,000 bonus at 6 months of employment
• $1,000 bonus at 1 year of employment
