Job Summary
The CMT (Construction Materials Technician) lab technician performs laboratory tests on construction materials such as soil, concrete, and asphalt to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications at our Kyle, TX office.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform various tests on soils using ASTM and TxDot methods.
• Ensure all tests are performed accurately and timely, recording results neatly.
• Maintain lab equipment (cleaning, calibrating, organizing).
• Communicate with lab manager regarding samples and testing.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Follow safety protocols.
• Be able to lift materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Pay attention to detail.

Education/Qualifications:

• College degree (not required).
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Physical Demands:

• Physical examination required to obtain medical clearance.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, and routinely lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Clean driving record and ability to be insured for driving company vehicles.
• Able to work in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
