Job summary

Imperative Chemical Partners in Midland, TX, seeks an IOR Lab Technician to execute lab workflows and help develop a leading fracturing fluid product line. You will generate data and maintain precise records for client presentations. You will run experiments, calibrate and maintain equipment, manage samples, and log results in lab databases.

You will collaborate with scientists on R&D initiatives while protecting confidential information. A B.S. degree is preferred or an A.S.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree preferred, A.S. required (may be substituted for minimum of 2 years of relevant experience)
  • Laboratory analytical and testing skills
  • Understand lab processes and efficiencies
  • Self-starter with fast learning and attention to detail
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Word proficiency
  • Oil and gas industry knowledge with fracturing fluid product lines a plus

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures in a laboratory environment.
  • Run experiments and operate equipment per standard operating procedures.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of experiments, observations, and results.
  • Utilize and maintain laboratory databases.
  • Collaborate with scientists on research and development initiatives.
  • Receive, log, label, and store samples for analysis.
  • Sample handling and shipping for internal and external testing.
  • Maintain confidentiality of internal and external data and analyses.

Lab Technician, IOR (Healthcare)

Imperative Chemical Partners has an immediate opening for an Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) Lab Technician in our Midland, Texas location. If you are interested in joining a growing company with a proven track record of success, this is your opportunity!

SUMMARY

Execute proprietary Imperative laboratory workflow utilizing laboratory equipment to develop a best in class fracturing fluid chemical product line designed to increase client well productivity. Generate scientific data to assist in converting data into knowledge for client Portfolio of Results presentations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols in a laboratory environment.
  • Run experiments and operate specialized equipment according to their standard operational procedure.
  • Cleaning, troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of experiments, observations, and results.
  • Utilize and maintain laboratory databases.
  • Collaborate with scientists to support research and development initiatives.
  • Receiving, logging, labeling, and properly storing samples to be analyzed.
  • Sampling/shipping test materials for internal and 3rd party testing.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding internal and external data and analysis.
  • Other duties as may be assignedto support laboratory operations.
