Northeastern University’s Institute for Plant-Human Interface (IPHI) in Boston invites applications for a Lab Technician. The role supports bench-level experiments and small independent projects aligned with plant biology research goals and human health applications.
You will analyze data, troubleshoot protocols, and report findings to the PI. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential; bachelor’s in biology or related field required.
The Institute for Plant-Human Interface (IPHI) in the College of Science at Northeastern University advances fundamental plant biology and applies these discoveries to improve human health, agriculture, and sustainability. Located in Boston's biotechnology hub, IPHI fosters interdisciplinary collaboration in areas such as plant-derived therapeutics, climate-resilient crops, AI-enabled plant science, and sustainable biomanufacturing.
The Lab Technician will perform bench-level experiments and small independent research projects to support the Institute's scientific research objectives. The Lab Technician will analyze experimental data, address methodological problems in experimental protocols and results, and report data to the Principal Investigator.

Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 105H
Expected Hiring Range: $20.77 - $28.56
With the pay range shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
