Job summary

QUIKRETE Companies in Johns Creek, Georgia is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support research and product development in our Engineering & Technical Center. You will work hands-on with new materials and formulations to help us innovate faster.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years in lab settings related to cement, concrete, coatings, or related construction materials, with strong attention to detail, math skills, and clear communication. Physical work includes standing and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• No advanced degree required; solid foundation and willingness to learn.
• 2-year/4-year science or engineering degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 0–3 years in lab or field environments related to construction materials.
• Strong attention to detail, math, analytical thinking and communication.
• Physically able to stand, lift up to 50 lbs with assistive devices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix samples according to detailed formulations.
• Perform tests to evaluate chemical and physical properties of construction materials.
• Analyze new raw materials and assess compatibility with existing products.
• Keep detailed lab notebooks and digital records of results.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safety-focused lab environment (5S).
• Communicate results clearly with team members and technical leaders.
