Job summary

Evonik is seeking a non-exempt Lab Technician II - Laboratory Support in the United States to perform routine and non-routine laboratory tasks following GDP and cGMP guidelines, while supporting general manufacturing, facilities, metrology, and housekeeping activities. You will also assist with SOPs, training, and documentation.

Expect to train Lab Technician I, handle PPE and inventory, and coordinate calibration activities with Metrology and Facilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years of post-secondary education in engineering or sciences preferred.
3-5 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment; pharmaceutical lab experience preferred.
Ability to work in a regulated GDP/GMP environment; strong documenting skills.
Detail-oriented, with teamwork and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Support daily Development Laboratory operations following SOPs, GDP/GMP requirements and safety practices.
Operate and support laboratory equipment including balances, conductivity meters, and pH meters.
Track calibration/maintenance of lab equipment with Metrology and Facilities.
Manage hazardous waste, conduct weekly inspections, and maintain chemical inventories.
Maintain inventory and restock supplies including PPE, labels, and forms.
Assist onboarding and training of Lab Technician I; improve lab processes using 5S.
Order supplies via SAP and coordinate with vendors and manufacturers.
