Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Lab Technician II to perform quality control tests on production lines, support customers and sales team via email and phone, and ensure data accuracy.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, mathematically proficient, able to multitask in a fast-paced lab, and capable of working independently or with a team.

Experience with spectrophotometer color analysis and calibration of lab equipment is a plus; strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily quality checks of production lines using pH meters, moisture analyzers, and sieve shakers.
• Performs color analysis of finished goods with spectrophotometer and ensures color accuracy.
• Logs daily quality results into the database and maintains records.
• Calibrates, cleans, and maintains laboratory equipment.
• Troubleshoots lab equipment and addresses issues as they arise.
• Answers customer and sales team calls and emails.
• Works independently or in a team and supports multiple projects simultaneously.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The position of Lab Technician II will proficiently perform all quality control tests and provide technical support to customers and sales team via email and phone. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, detail oriented, dependable, highly motivated, organized, and exhibit excellent math skills. Lab employees are committed to the highest standards of compliance and ethics, take ownership of actions, enthusiastically embrace change and strive to understand the needs of our customers. He or she needs to be able to work both independently and with a team, in addition to being able to multitask in a fast paced laboratory setting.

ATTENDANCE:

Regular and punctual attendance is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

English is the primary language of the facility. Ability to read and write, communicate clearly with co-workers and customers and to respond to appropriate questions regarding work process or work product.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals as appropriate to the position.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written oral and/or diagram form. Ability to define and solve problems and collect data.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts daily quality checks of production lines, ensuring company and customer standards are met, including the use of pH meters, moisture analyzers, and sieve shakers.
• Conducts color analysis of finished goods via spectrophotometer and ensures products visually meet industry and company standards
• Logs daily quality test results into database
• Files and maintains records
• Calibrates, cleans, and maintains laboratory equipment
• Troubleshoots lab equipment
• Performs color quality tests; makes batch additions and adjustments as needed
• Answers Customer and Sales team calls.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and questions over the phone and via email.
• Ability to work on projects with little guidance or assistance.
• Proficient at matching colors in all types of product lines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Associate degree or bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Strong Mathematical Skills
• Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
• One year of quality control experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Must be able to pass a color vision test
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on an as needed basis
• Availability across shifts to cover as needed
