Job summary

iAnthus Capital is seeking a reliable Lab Technician focused on pre-processing to support hydrocarbon extraction operations. The role involves preparing raw plant material, handling, sorting, grinding, and loading into extraction systems with an emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and data integrity.

The position requires laboratory experience and the ability to work alternating day and night shifts to support cross-training in extraction methods.

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience required; hydrocarbon extraction experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel (state-mandated tracking system training provided).
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Receive, weigh, and log incoming biomass for extraction.
• Sort and grind plant material to specified particle size for extraction efficiency.
• Load prepared material into extraction vessels according to batch requirements.
• Monitor humidity and storage protocols to maintain quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pre-processing areas.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines at all times.
• Assist with maintenance and cleaning of processing equipment.
• Track batch data and inventory using internal systems.
• Coordinate with extraction technicians to ensure smooth workflow.
