Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Associate I to support laboratory operations in Seattle, WA. The role runs Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with a pay range of $24.35–$27.35 per hour.

Eligible shift differentials may apply for second and third shifts, and annual performance bonuses are possible. Responsibilities include sample preparation, labeling, accessioning into LIS, data entry, quality control, and maintaining inventory and records.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of operating non-complex equipment.
• Preferred 1–2 years of laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing including racking, aliquoting and tube preparation.
• Labels, handles, processes or prepares specimens and ensures proper transportation and storage.
• Identifies sample problems and assists in resolution.
• Prepares testing equipment and assists with preventive maintenance; notifies staff of equipment issues.
• Assists licensed personnel or supervisors in pre- and post-analytic activities.
• Maintains reagent records, prepares reagents and controls.
• Maintains inventory of consumables and restocks benches and equipment.
• Performs data entry and transcribes results for data reduction.
