Job summary

H.B. Fuller Company in Michigan Center, MI is seeking a Lab Technician I to support testing and data generation in a first-shift role (Mon-Fri, 8am–5pm) with occasional overtime.

You will follow procedures, maintain records, calibrate and operate lab equipment, and contribute to R&D and QC projects while ensuring safety and compliance. Requires a high school diploma and 1 year in a lab; a STEM degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory, production, or R&D environment.
• Ability to follow written procedures, maintain detailed records, and meet safety standards.
• Ability to perform light to moderate physical tasks and wear PPE.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field preferred.
• Experience with routine equipment calibration.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company, site, and laboratory safety requirements and report hazards promptly.
• Conduct experiments, testing, and analyses according to approved procedures.
• Compile, analyze, and document test and experiment results.
• Support technical service, application development, QC, and R&D projects.
• Maintain calibrated, operational laboratory equipment and tools.
• Ensure material identification, lot traceability, and accurate recordkeeping.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned lab areas.
• Communicate project status, issues, and results in a timely manner.
