Job summary

RKW - North America seeks a dedicated Lab Technician in Franklin, KY to support quality assurance and product development in a plastics environment. Under the supervision of the Quality Specialist, you will perform sampling, run analyses, and interpret data to ensure specifications are met.

You will collaborate with production, train staff on best practices, and help implement ISO-aligned processes while maintaining safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastics industry with film test methods preferred.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and record precise measurements.
• Ability to read product specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and analysis of film products per approved methods.
• Conduct laboratory analyses on time and to schedule.
• Liaise with production to apply and interpret lab data.
• Maintain safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Verify lab equipment in ISO compliance.
• Log data accurately in the lab data system.
• Communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
• Train new hires on best practices and quality compliance.
• Assist in training on document control system.
• Design experiments to determine root causes of failures.
