Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in molecular biology, cellular biology, immunology, biochemistry, biophysics, bioengineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on wet-lab experience outside classroom laboratory courses.
• Experience handling DNA samples and high-throughput workflows with attention to sample identity and contamination prevention.
• Proficiency in basic lab techniques including accurate pipetting, reagent preparation and sample labeling.
• Ability to follow written protocols, maintain complete records and ask for guidance when needed.
• Strong organization and time management; able to handle repetitive, detail-intensive tasks reliably.
• Ability to work independently after training and collaborate with scientists and team members.
• Clear written and verbal communication; commitment to lab safety and basic computer skills.
• Availability to work onsite in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, label and organize large DNA libraries with accurate inventory records.
• Execute established DNA handling, protein synthesis and assay workflows under guidance.
• Operate automated liquid handlers, monitor runs and troubleshoot; flag errors.
• Prepare laboratory reagents and buffers with correct calculations and labeling.
• Record procedures, samples and results in notebooks or electronic records.
• Manage DNA and sample inventories, storage locations and replenishment needs.
• Track, order and receive supplies; verify deliveries and keep reagents organized.
• Support equipment upkeep and freezer maintenance with scientists.
• Follow lab safety and waste handling procedures and keep the workspace orderly.
