Job Description Summary

As a member of the Coatings Additives Business Line’s Applied Research & Technology organization, this position conducts testing to support business growth through technical service, product positioning, and developing new commercially viable products that meet market and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan experiments and activities based on established goals for products and projects, including literature searches.
• Conduct laboratory experiments using lab equipment, document results, and prepare technical reports for review.
• Complete safety training, conduct hazard reviews, create safe work practices, and ensure understanding of hazards and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain lab facilities, chemical inventory, and equipment, troubleshooting as needed.
• Supervise or train laboratory personnel in testing methods and procedures.

Requirements

Education: An engineering degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering preferred, with at least 3 years of experience in the printing inks or coatings industry.

Experience: Experience in the printing ink industry is preferred. Strong practical laboratory skills and commitment to safety and environmental standards are essential.

Skills: Ability to work effectively with diverse, multi-cultural teams; apply scientific principles to testing results; collaborate and share information; and manage projects effectively.
