Job summary

Allan Myers, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure asphalt, concrete, and quarry products meet specifications. You will perform daily QC tests, develop procedures, and coordinate with government agencies to ensure compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering field, 1–2 years of experience (3–5 preferred), and knowledge of lab protocols. Competitive benefits accompany a stable, local workload.

Responsibilities

• Run daily quality control tests to ensure compliance with project specs and regulations.
• Develop and adhere to QC procedures for asphalt, concrete, and quarry ops.
• Develop asphalt and concrete mix designs per project specs.
• Coordinate QC procedures with federal, state, and local agencies.
• Conduct lab experiments using established protocols.
• Coordinate with plant control rooms on mix designs requested by customers.
• Receive and analyze technical data from external sales/tech reps.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.

Responsibilities

This non-exempt position adheres to a Quality Control System, which complies with federal, state and local construction specifications for the asphalt and concrete plant products as well as the products from the quarry operations.

• Runs daily quality control tests to ensure compliance with specification of various projects and with federal, state and local regulations.
• Develops and adheres to all quality control procedures for the asphalt, concrete and quarry operations.
• Develops asphalt and concrete mix designs in accordance with project specifications.
• Coordinates quality control procedures on various projects with representatives of federal, state and local government agencies.
• Conducts various lab experiments on products using established scientific protocols.
• Coordinates with the asphalt, quarry and concrete plant control rooms regarding mix designs required by customers.
• Receives and analyzes product related technical data coming from external salespeople and technical representatives regarding production procedures.
• Preforms other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Hourly Range

$24.00 - $30.00, based on experience.

Qualifications
