Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a Quality Control position in Michigan to support compliance with federal, state, and local construction specifications across asphalt, concrete and quarry operations. You will run daily tests and develop QC procedures to meet project requirements.

Ideal candidates have a scientific or engineering background with 1–2 years of experience (3–5 years preferred) and solid knowledge of lab protocols and regulatory applicability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience; 3–5 years preferred.
  • Knowledge of product types and government regulation related to quality.
  • Knowledge of lab protocols.

  • Runs daily quality control tests to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
  • Develops and adheres to quality control procedures for asphalt, concrete and quarry operations.
  • Develops asphalt and concrete mix designs per project specs.
  • Coordinates QC procedures with federal, state and local agencies.
  • Conducts lab experiments using established protocols.
  • Coordinates with plant control rooms regarding customer-required mix designs.
  • Receives and analyzes technical data from external sales and reps.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Responsibilities

This non-exempt position adheres to a Quality Control System, which complies with federal, state and local construction specifications for the asphalt and concrete plant products as well as the products from the quarry operations.

  • Runs daily quality control tests to ensure compliance with specification of various projects and with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Develops and adheres to all quality control procedures for the asphalt, concrete and quarry operations.
  • Develops asphalt and concrete mix designs in accordance with project specifications.
  • Coordinates quality control procedures on various projects with representatives of federal, state and local government agencies.
  • Conducts various lab experiments on products using established scientific protocols.
  • Coordinates with the asphalt, quarry and concrete plant control rooms regarding mix designs required by customers.
  • Receives and analyzes product related technical data coming from external salespeople and technical representatives regarding production procedures.
  • Preforms other job-related duties as required or assigned.
Hourly Range
  • $23.00 - $30.00, based on experience.
