Job summary

Ecoservices is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Baton Rouge, LA to perform analytical testing of wastewater and hazardous waste per EPA and LA DEQ protocols. This role supports plant personnel, maintains lab instruments, and participates in process improvement on a 12-hour rotating day shift.

The candidate will perform QA tasks, method development, and routine analyses of finished products and raw materials while adhering to SOPs and HS&E policies. New grads are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ion chromatography, wet chemistry techniques, ICP and wastewater analyses.
• Experience in chemical process industry with laboratory environment and analytical procedures.
• TWIC credential is required or in place.
• Ability to lift and carry testing equipment to test locations within Production Unit.
• Strong communication with all levels of plant personnel; team-based environment.
• New grads are encouraged to apply; BS or equivalent experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance, special projects, method development and non-routine analytical tasks.
• Provide analytical support for plant personnel on a day-to-day basis.
• Conduct analysis, synthesis and experimentation for product and process application.
• Analyze finished products, in-process samples, raw materials and wastewater per SOPs and HS&E policies.
• Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Support process improvement and safety initiatives; perform safety inspections.
