Job summary

System One is seeking a Lab Technician in Irvine, CA for a 12-month contract, onsite from Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. The role involves testing adhesives, data collection, and summarizing results using established procedures. Strong data generation and MS Office skills are required, with 5S proficiency and team collaboration emphasized.

Candidate must hold an Associate’s or Bachelor's in a technical field and have 5+ years of process experience, enabling safe lab practice and precise data handling.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably chemical, mechanical, materials engineering.
• 5+ years of process experience.
• Ability to routinely generate data based on standard test methods.
• Ability to support application engineer for data generation.
• Experience in lab hands-on work and good at 5S.
• Basic data summary and MS Office skills.
• Good team player.
• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data.
• Ability to follow safe laboratory practices/protocols.
• Ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day

Responsibilities

• Testing of adhesives not limited to paste or film.
• Evaluate, collect and record data.
• Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results.
• Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details.
