Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Lab Technician in Shelbyville, KY to operate in a climate-controlled lab while the manufacturing floor remains hot and noisy. You will perform titration tests, sample pulls, and data management using ERP systems in a contract-to-hire role onsite.

The ideal candidate will have chemistry background, QA/QC knowledge, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel. This position offers a structured schedule with regular lunches and a dynamic lab environment.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in a laboratory setting, utilizing a fume hood for mixing chemicals for titration tests. The role involves pulling samples from CNC machines to test for quality and ensuring all processes adhere to quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

• Mix chemicals for titration tests using a fume hood.
• Pull samples from CNC machines to bring to the lab for quality testing.
• Utilize ERP systems for data management and reporting.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control tasks in the laboratory.
• Assist in filling schedule gaps when other lab technicians are unavailable.

Essential Skills

• Experience or coursework in chemistry.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelbyville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
