Credo is seeking a Lab Technician to maintain an efficient, safe electronics lab. You will manage inventory, assist engineering teams, and coordinate shipping and asset controls to support daily operations.

The role emphasizes meticulous organization, strong communication, and collaboration across Engineering, IT, Facilities, Purchasing, and Accounting. A proactive customer-service mindset helps ensure engineers have reliable access to tools and parts.

Qualifications

• Fundamental knowledge of computer hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize inventory of evaluation boards, electronic components, computers, and related hardware.
• Monitor lab supply levels and replenish materials to ensure engineers have access to items.
• Keep lab spaces clean, organized, and safe, including workbenches, doors and floors.
• Provide hands-on assistance to engineering teams, including setup of test equipment and lab materials.
• Pack and ship lab materials; coordinate with Shanghai office for international shipping.
• Partner with IT and Facilities to ensure secure data storage, access, and lab IT systems.
• Conduct annual asset audits with the accounting team to ensure compliance.
• Assist with trade show inventory and shipping logistics.
• Perform light purchasing to keep the lab stocked.

Job description

The Lab Technician plays a vital role in maintaining an efficient, safe, and organized lab environment. This position supports engineering teams by managing inventory, equipment, logistics, and general lab upkeep. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, Customer-Service focused, and experienced in working within an electronics lab setting. This role ensures that all lab materials—including evaluation boards, electronic equipment, computer components, and general supplies—are readily available and properly maintained to support day‑to‑day engineering activities.

Base salary range

is $25 - $45 an hour. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Basic Qualifications

Inventory Management

• Maintain and organize inventory of evaluation boards, electronic components, computers, and related hardware.
• Monitor supply levels regularly and replenish materials to ensure engineers have continuous access to necessary items.

Lab Environment Maintenance

• Keep lab spaces clean, organized, and safe, including workbenches, doors, and floors.
• Monitor environmental factors such as air quality and noise levels to maintain a productive workspace.
• Manage recycling and disposal processes to ensure proper waste management.

Equipment Management

• Organize and maintain equipment storage areas to ensure safe and efficient access.
• Perform routine checks and basic upkeep on lab computers and equipment to ensure functionality.

Customer Service & Engineering Support

• Provide hands‑on assistance to engineering teams, including setup of test equipment, evaluation boards, and other lab materials.
• Regularly communicate with engineers to understand needs and resolve lab‑related issues efficiently.

Shipping & Receiving

• Pack and ship lab materials for engineering and sales teams, ensuring secure packaging and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with the Shanghai office to support international shipping requirements and logistics.

Collaboration with IT and Facilities

• Partner with IT to ensure proper data storage, secure access, and fully functioning lab IT systems, including internet connectivity.
• Work closely with Facilities on lab needs related to electrical systems, HVAC, and compliance with safety regulations.

Asset Control & Management

• Manage rental equipment and maintain accurate asset records for all items valued above $5,000 USD in coordination with Purchasing and Accounting.
• Conduct annual asset audits alongside the accounting team to ensure compliance and record accuracy.

Trade Show Support

• Assist with trade show preparation by organizing inventory, packing materials, and supporting shipping logistics.

Purchasing Assistance

• Perform light purchasing tasks as needed to ensure the lab remains stocked with essential components, tools, and consumables.
