Job summary

Bongards' Creameries in Perham, MN is seeking a Lab Technician to support production operations with daily lab testing and quality checks. You will help ensure product specifications are met and maintain calibration and records to support regulatory compliance.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work with production teams, and flexibility for a rotating schedule. Starting pay is $26.27/hour, with benefits including PTO, 401(k) match, and insurance options.

Qualifications

• Prior lab experience preferred.

• Must be able to lift up to 50# repeatedly.
• Must be able to frequently stoop, crouch, twist and turn.

• Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with production personnel to assist in producing products meeting standards and customer specifications.
• Monitor compliance from reception of raw products through in-process testing to finished product analysis.
• Maintain required documentation for quality system and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform calibrations and comparisons.
• Provide customer service by performing requested analysis to procure a quality milk supply.
• Sample products, perform lab tests, and maintain machine calibrations.
• Perform standard method testing to ensure machine calibrations are maintained on FT-NIR.
• Obtain State of Minnesota certification for antibiotic and Colilert testing.
• Perform testing and take samples in the plant.
• Keep clear, accurate, and timely records.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Bongards' is looking for a Lab Technician at our Perham, MN facility. Bongards' offers excellent pay and a positive work environment, starting pay is $26.27 per hour.

• Work closely with and interact with production personnel to assist in producing products which meet all the prescribed standards and customer specifications.
• Monitor compliance to accepted standards from reception of raw products through in-process testing to analysis offinished products.
• Assist in maintaining required documentation and files for quality system and regulatory compliance.
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and performing calibrations and comparisons.
• Provide patron members with excellent customer service, performing requested analysis to procure a quality milk supply.
• Sample products, accurately perform all required lab tests, and maintain machine calibrations.
• Perform standard method testing to ensure machine calibrations are maintained on FT-NIR.
• Obtain certification from State of Minnesota for antibiotic and Colilert (water) testing.
• Will need to perform testing and take samples in the plant.
• Understand the plant commitment to customers’ quality expectations.
• Keep clear, accurate, and timely records.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Schedule:

• Day Shift 5:00am to 5:00pm. Two-week rotating schedule
• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday
• Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday
