Job summary

Actalent in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Lab Technician to support sample prep, testing, and documentation in a modern flavor laboratory and production facility. This contract role focuses on accurate, safe work and compliance with quality standards, with a typical schedule Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m. You will operate and maintain lab equipment, record results, assist R&D and product development projects, and keep paperwork up to date.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of laboratory experience in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and documentation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic understanding of chemistry or a related scientific discipline.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Work Environment

This role is based in a modern, clean, and up-to-date flavor laboratory and production facility. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The facility is designed to encourage frequent interaction among team members, with workspaces that support collaboration between laboratory staff and other departments.

This is a Contract position based out of Northbrook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
