Maytag Dairy Farms is seeking a Lab Technician to execute the Quality Control program, ensuring production quality and analytical performance aligned with production rates.

Responsibilities include sampling from the production area, performing tests per SOPs, recording results, and communicating with production to implement QA/QC policies and GMP standards in the facility.

Formación

• Associate degree in a related scientific or technical field is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous academic, chemical and/or commercial lab experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.

Responsabilidades

• Collect samples from the production area and perform all relevant analytical tests according to SOPs.
• Perform accurate testing of samples to create final product Certificates of Analyses for approval as defined by SOPs.
• Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy.
• Communicate with production to ensure QA/QC policy implementation and compliance.

The Lab Technician is responsible for executing the Quality Control program at Maytag Dairy Farms. Their role is to ensure the highest standards of production quantity and quality, while maintaining analytical performance to align with production rates.Responsibilities and DutiesOperate safely and appropriately in all AgCertain situations and environmentsAbility to demonstrate a basic and continually increasing understanding of the laboratory environment and quality control practicesParticipate in all competencies testing programs including interdepartmental and customer-based equivalency testingCollect samples from the production area and perform of all relevant analytical tests according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Perform accurate testing of samples to create final product Certificate of Analyses for approval by others as defined by SOPs in a timely mannerRecord all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibilityCommunicate directly with production department to ensure effective participation by the process operators in the implementation of QA/QC policies and proceduresHandle, organize and store all chemical substances, fluids, and gases according to safety instructionsCommunicate with third-party lab to schedule outside testing serviceUndergo Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training and be able to comply with Occupational Safety policies and GMPs in the production process; perform sanitation duties in accordance with SOPs, Food Safety and GMP complianceParticipate in all company trainingsPerform long-term additional duties as assigned and other duties as requiredAn Associate Degree from two-year college/university/tech school in a related scientific or technical field is required; Bachelor’s degree preferredPrevious academic, chemical and/or commercial lab experience preferredExperience with automated laboratory instrument preferredKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite requiredKnowledge of general office equipment requiredMust be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasksStrong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate internally and externally with customers or vendorAct with integrity, candor, excellence, curiosity, and a commitment to safetyAbide by Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of the facility
