• Knowledge of analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis, spectroscopy and statistics.
• Able to read Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and follow SOPs.
• Ability to coordinate across departments and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses of gases using analytical instrumentation.
• Support routine production quality care and analysis for specialty gas mixtures and pure gases.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and prepare clear records and reports.
• Collaborate with production to verify records and approve distributions.
• Prepare gas analysis certification reports for customers.
• Work with leadership on delivery schedules and product requests.
• Support health, safety, and ISO quality programs with management.
• Adapt priorities to maintain delivery timelines and lab standards.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory per SOPs.
• Assist in setup, maintenance, and calibration of instruments.

This position plays a key role in advancing the quality and certification of specialty gases in alignment with established standards. Ideally, you bring analytical experience to specialty gas testing, product certification, and supporting smooth workflows across storage, labeling, and delivery.

We are looking for someone to:

• Perform analyses of gases using analytical instrumentation.
• Support routine production quality care and analysis for specialty gas mixtures and pure gases.
• Foster alignment with standard operating procedure manual requirements.
• Connect with production teams to verify records and clear products for distribution.
• Prepare clear gas analysis certification reports for customer partners.
• Collaborate closely with the leadership team concerning delivery schedules, customer feedback, and unique product requests.
• Partner with the management team to nurture health, safety, and ISO quality programs.
• Adaptively manage team priorities and support optimal delivery timelines.
• Care for and maintain laboratory standards, including thoughtful inventory, labeling, documentation, storage, and presentation.
• Assist in the care, setup, and maintenance of laboratory instruments, preserving accurate maintenance records per Airgas SOPs.
• Flexible opportunities to support team goals as needed.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex instructions such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and customers.

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

• Ability to work all shifts; subject to all weather conditions.
