Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Lab Technician to perform standardized testing, operate and maintain laboratory equipment, and assist with procedures documentation. The role supports diverse projects across industrial growth markets and requires a practical science background with hands-on lab experience.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma with vocational training and 2+ years related experience, plus basic chemistry knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with vocational/technical training and 2+ years related experience.
  • AS in scientific field preferred.
  • Science knowledge of chemistry for lab testing.
  • Mechanical knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment.
  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.

  • Performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving sequences of related operations.
  • Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.
  • May service or repair simple instruments or maintain equipment.
  • Develop, revise, review, and validate procedures and technical manuals.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Summary and Responsibilities
  • Performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations.
  • Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.
  • May service or repair simple instruments or maintain equipment.
  • Develop, revise, review, and validate procedures and technical manuals.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Requires a high school diploma and some degree of vocational or technical training and a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • AS in a scientific field preferred.
  • Science knowledge of chemistry or related science to conduct laboratory work such as testing and water samples.
  • Mechanical knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to collect samples and analyze results (intermediate math).
  • Other Qualifications US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain a security clearance.
