Job summary

Experis is supporting a consumer packaged goods manufacturer in Evansville, IN to hire a Lab Technician. The role emphasizes routine sampling, quality control testing, instrument operation, and maintaining a compliant laboratory environment.

This position requires a science degree or equivalent lab experience, teamwork, and trainability. It offers long-term opportunity with conversion to permanent, Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm, and a pay range of $20.00–$22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, etc.) or equivalent lab experience.
• Experience with Microbiology and aseptic technique.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and analyze routine quantitative samples of raw materials, finished products and premixes.
• Perform chemical quality control tests of vitamins and other nutrients following established methods and using laboratory techniques.
• Operate laboratory instruments.
• Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment and complete records.
• Keep notebooks and lab records up to date and compliant with practices.

Job description

Our client in consumer packaged goods manufacturing is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have team playing, lab skills and trainability which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Evansville IN

Pay Range: $20.00 - $22 hourly

Contract: Long term/conversion to permanent possible

Shift: M - F: 8a - 4:30p (flexible on start time up to 9am)

Job Duties

• Collect, prepare, and analyze routine quantitative samples of raw materials, finished products and premixes.
• Perform chemical quality control tests of vitamins and other nutrients following established methods and utilizing accepted laboratory techniques.
• Operate laboratory instruments.
• Perform duties required in the routine maintenance of a safe and appropriate laboratory environment which is compliant with company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain current, complete, legible notebooks and laboratory records in compliance with good scientific and regulatory practices.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, etc.) - OR - Equivalent Lab experience and skills will also be considered.
• Required: Experience with Microbiology and familiarity with aseptic technique (through work or schooling)
• Demonstrates ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using Microsoft based computer applications a must.
