Job summary

Constellation Energy Corp. is seeking Calibration Technicians to perform equipment calibrations and testing across plant components, ensuring accurate measurements and adherence to quality standards.

You will interact with clients, document test results, and support on-site calibrations with potential regional travel, working across multiple levels from Technician I to III.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED with science/TECH/engineering/math background
  • Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for extended periods
  • Maintain access requirements and valid driver’s license
  • Level II/III require technical degree credits or PMEL training and related experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations of measuring & testing equipment and tests of plant components and systems.
  • Produce accurate test reports and verify results per QA manual.
  • Interact with clients and vendors on technical projects and calibrations.
  • Process vendor calibrations and perform verifications for testing and calibration.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of PowerLabs and customer equipment.
  • Support or perform customer onsite calibrations or testing with possible regional travel.

Expected pay range: $24.52-38.46/Hr., varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

This position can be filled as a Technician I, Technician II or Technician III
Primary Purpose of Position

Responsible for performing all levels of equipment calibrations and/or testing and analysis using recognized methodologies, industry standards, and technical experience. Calibration technicians are responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of instruments and equipment to ensure they are calibrated correctly and provide accurate measurements.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities
  • Perform calibrations of measuring & test equipment and/or tests and analysis of plant components, systems, and parts.
  • Produce accurate test reports of calibrations and testing and verifies acceptability of results as required in the Constellation PowerLabs Quality Assurance Manual.
  • Interact with clients and vendors on technical projects and calibrations.
  • Process vendor calibrations and conduct vendor source verifications for testing and calibration.
  • Perform corrective/routine maintenance and/or repair of PowerLabs and customer equipment.
  • Support or perform customer onsite calibrations or testing that may involve regional travel
  • Safely stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to travel when required.
  • All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Department duty coverage and/or call out and positions outside of department in support of emergent activities etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications for Level I
  • High School Diploma/GED with experience or education in science, technology, engineering or math field
  • Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for extended periods of time
  • Maintain access requirement or unescorted access requirements
  • Valid driver's license
Minimum Qualifications for Level II
  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline OR
  • 60 credits towards a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline OR
  • Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) training OR
  • High school diploma/GED with 4 years of experience in chemical, electrical, mechanical or metallurgical testing, analysis or calibrations or basic engineering principles
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
  • Valid driver's license
Minimum Qualifications for Level III
  • Associate’s degree in a technical discipline with 1 year of experience in equipment calibration and/or testing and analysis OR
  • 60 credits towards a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 1 year of experience in equipment calibrationand/or testing and analysis OR
  • Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) training with 1 year of experience in equipment calibrationand/or testing and analysis OR
  • High school diploma/GED with overall 6 years of experience in chemical, electrical, mechanical or metallurgicaltesting, analysis or calibrations or basic engineering principles with 1 year of experience in equipment calibration and/ortesting and analysis
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medicalexamination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
  • Valid driver's license
All Levels:
    • Nuclear plant experience or Radiation protection experience
    • Metrology or related VoTech education
Lab Tech II and Lab Tech III (starting position based on experience or level of degree)
    • Metrology or related education via VoTech, military or associate degree in technical area
