Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Laboratory Technician to assist in a research lab, performing routine duties and supporting experiments.

Under general supervision, you will prepare specimens, assemble and operate standard equipment, record data, and assist with culture media preparation.

• Examines experimentally infected laboratory animals to detect and record symptoms associated with variety of animal diseases.
• Weighs, positions, and performs pre-operative shaving of animals.
• Takes vital signs of animals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
