Job summary

  • Escalate roadblocks to management and follow up for resolution.
  • Maintain data integrity per compliance guidelines.
  • Wash and dry glassware and distribute to labs.
  • Order, receive, and track laboratory supplies.
  • Perform routine and non‑routine sample submissions.
  • Complete glassware checks and detergent tests.
  • Support testing activities as needed.
  • Complete GMP training on time.
  • Create, track, and archive equipment logbooks.
  • Dispose samples and manage transfers with paperwork.
  • Own sample lifecycle from receipt to disposal.
  • Maintain laboratory databases including stock login and inventory tracking.
  • Foster teamwork and professionalism among staff.
  • Recommend improvements to Lab Ops procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in submission rooms and labs.
  • Complete annual hazardous waste training and handle associated tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

Location: Windsor, CO 80550, USA

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the flow of laboratory glassware, supplies, materials, and information in adherence with cGMP requirements.
  • Prioritize workload to meet timelines while ensuring on‑time delivery of all projects, testing and action items.
  • Take ownership of tasks and results from initiation to completion to meet commitments and proactively address outcomes.
  • Escalate and communicate items which arise per the timelines specified in the department escalation strategy.
  • Execute all business and department goals and initiatives on time.
  • Ensure adherence for compliance with all processes and procedures including training completions, QE and CAPA due dates, notebook and logbook audits, archiving schedules internal assessments.
  • Ensure all samples logged into the LIMS system are submitted correctly.
  • Identify, and complete cost savings initiatives and facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Participate in development activities and take an active role during department and company activities.
  • Ability to perform designated duties under minimal supervision and support departmental management in all aspects of organizational functions.
  • Ensure potential roadblocks or bottlenecks in assigned tasks are immediately escalated to management. Follow up as needed to ensure complete resolution.
  • Responsible for ensuring that company compliance and regulatory data integrity guidelines are consistently followed.
  • Wash and dry glassware and distribute to appropriate locations within the laboratory, and serves as a subject matter expert for glassware washing and handling procedures.
  • Responsible for ordering, receiving, and tracking of supplies for the laboratory.
  • Perform routine and non‑routine sample submissions over the whole range of samples submitted to the lab.
  • Perform glassware checks prior to placing glassware back in the laboratory.
  • Perform the annual detergent test.
  • Support any testing activities as needed.
  • Complete all GMP training on time.
  • Create, track, and archive logbooks for all required equipment throughout the lab.
  • Dispose samples and execute sample and reagent transports with associated paperwork as needed.
  • Ownership of the sample lifecycle state from receipt, to secure storage, and disposal.
  • Ownership of laboratory databases including stock login, review, and inventory tracking.
  • Accountable for maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork, cordiality and respect towards co‑workers.
  • Recommends improvements and assists in updates to Lab Ops procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in the sample submission rooms and QCC laboratories.
  • Participate in required annual hazardous waste training. Hazardous waste involvement may include, but is not limited to container and tank management and inspections, generation of hazardous waste as a part of production or sampling processes and transfer of hazardous waste between lab procedure area, satellite accumulation and storage. Respond to spills per the Chemical Spill Procedures.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, preferably in chemistry or biochemistry and 1 year in a laboratory setting.
    • OR High School diploma/GED and three or more years of experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Valid Driver’s License Required in order to support transports between sites as needed.
Working Conditions
  • Laboratory environment. Will be working with detergents, hot water, dilute acids and bases, drug products, cleaners and solvents, bio‑hazardous materials, and hazardous waste.
  • Must be adaptable to shifting priorities and operate with a sense of urgency while maintaining high quality in order to meet important timelines in a high throughput lab.
  • Business demands may present a need to work extended hours.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices including market‑based base pay and a strong benefits package. The final compensation offered may vary from the posted range based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
