The Johns Hopkins Hospital at GreenSpring Station in Lutherville, MD is seeking a Lab Technician/Phlebotomist for a full-time day shift (9:30am-6pm, Mon-Fri). Primary duties include phlebotomy, specimen handling, and basic waived tests, with emphasis on accuracy and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with biology/chemistry/maths coursework.
• Completion of accredited phlebotomy courses preferred.
• Certification not required, but active certs boost experience evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Primary duty: collect specimens and perform phlebotomy.
• Perform waived laboratory tests (Occult, Gastric, Urine tests).
• Process and label samples; assist in pre-analytic tasks.
• Operate automated pre-analytical instrumentation as needed.
• Record, verify, and report results accurately to systems.
• Maintain supplies and clean, organized workspace.
• Contribute to QA initiatives and process improvements.
• Provide exceptional patient and staff service.
