Job summary

Stratas Foods in Quincy, MA is seeking a Lab Tech on the 3rd shift to conduct analytical testing of vegetable oils in a food manufacturing environment. You will record data electronically and keep a clean, compliant lab.

Responsibilities include prioritizing samples, performing analyses, entering results into TLC database, and participating in training and safety meetings. A High School diploma is required; experience in food safety is a plus.

Conduct analytical testing of various vegetable oils using Stratas SOPs in a manufacturing facility. Recording corresponding data electronically. Clean and organize laboratory in a food manufacturing environment.

Testing of samples at various points in the process: production samples, inbound and outbound truck samples.

Salary Range: $45,760 - $48,880 / Annually

Physical Requirements:This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights

Sensory: Visual, speaking, and touch is essential.

Mental/Reasoning:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Successful Candidates: possess basic computer/technology skills, capacity for memorizing and executing a multitude of processes, willingness to learn or knowledge of food safety in manufacturing environment, willingness to learn to operate laboratory devices and machinery, able to work weekends and overtime when required.
